The standards of conduct, quality and transparency we expect from every supplier, and how to raise a concern.

01

Scope

This code applies to every supplier, producer, manufacturer, agent and service provider that sells goods or services to KVNG 2HANDEL or acts on our behalf, together with their subcontractors. It forms part of our commercial relationship from the first registration onwards.

We expect suppliers to communicate these standards within their own supply chains and to be able to show, on request, how they are met. Where local law sets a higher standard than this code, local law applies. Where this code sets the higher standard, we expect the code to be followed.

03

Anti-bribery and corruption

Suppliers do not offer, promise, give, request or accept bribes, kickbacks, facilitation payments or any other improper advantage, directly or through third parties, in connection with business with KVNG 2HANDEL. This applies equally to public officials and to private counterparties.

Gifts, hospitality and entertainment involving our staff are modest, infrequent, transparent and never offered to influence a decision. Suppliers keep accurate books and records that reflect every transaction and payment.

04

Sanctions and trade controls

Suppliers comply with the economic sanctions, export controls and embargoes that apply to them and to the trades we conduct together. They are not, and are not owned or controlled by, persons on applicable sanctions lists, and they tell us at once if that changes.

Suppliers provide accurate information on the origin, classification and end use of goods, and on the parties involved in a trade, so that we can carry out our own screening and customs filings correctly.

05

Labour and human rights

Suppliers respect internationally recognised human rights and labour standards. In particular, they:

  • Do not use forced, bonded, indentured or prison labour, and do not retain identity documents or charge recruitment fees to workers.
  • Do not employ children below the legal minimum working age or in work that is hazardous to young people.
  • Treat workers with dignity, without harassment, abuse or discrimination on any ground.
  • Pay at least the legal minimum wage and benefits, respect legal working hours and provide the rest days the law requires.
  • Respect workers’ freedom of association and their right to bargain collectively where the law provides for it.

06

Health and safety

Suppliers provide a safe and healthy workplace. Risks are identified and controlled, workers receive the training and protective equipment their tasks require, and emergency procedures are in place and practised. Accommodation provided to workers, where any, meets the same standard.

Serious incidents connected with goods or services supplied to us are reported to us promptly, together with the measures taken.

07

Environment

Suppliers comply with environmental law and hold the environmental permits their operations require. They manage energy, water, waste, emissions and hazardous substances responsibly and work to reduce the environmental impact of their production over time.

Where goods are subject to origin, material or environmental declarations in the destination market, suppliers provide accurate information so that those declarations can be made correctly.

08

Quality and documentation

Goods conform to the contracted specification, applicable standards and the samples approved, and are packed and marked for safe transport. Suppliers maintain quality controls that allow defects to be detected before shipment and allow us or our inspectors to verify them.

Commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, product certificates and test reports are accurate, complete and delivered on time. Inaccurate documentation delays customs clearance and may end the relationship.

09

Confidentiality

Suppliers protect confidential information received from KVNG 2HANDEL, including prices, volumes, specifications, buyer identities and trade routes, and use it only for the purpose for which it was shared. Personal data is handled in line with applicable data protection law.

Suppliers do not make public statements about their relationship with us, or use our name or marks, without our written agreement.

10

Reporting concerns

Anyone who becomes aware of conduct that may breach this code, whether within a supplier’s own organisation or on our side, can report it in confidence to compliance@kvngtwohandel.com. Reports are reviewed by our compliance function. We do not tolerate retaliation against anyone who raises a concern in good faith.

We may ask suppliers for information, documents or access to premises to verify compliance with this code. Where a breach is found we expect it to be corrected within an agreed period; a serious or repeated breach may lead to suspension or termination of the relationship.

This code is reviewed periodically and may be updated. The version published on this site is the one that applies.
